Fuel delivery woes.
My 603 is acting weird. I thought it was clogged fuel delivery. I got ants in my SVO. So pulled tank cleaned out still haven't replaced. I am currently running out to a gallon jug of fuel. I have gotten to the point of feeding strait from the jug to the lift pump then strait into the IP. There is great delivery to the IP. And actually great return to the jug from the IP.
So the symptoms is that it does not shift up. If I let it idle for 15 min then go for a test run the engine has great power and shifting is fine. I can go up to 60-70 mph and cruse for about a mile then will loose power and will down shift and cannot go past about 30mph at about 3500 RPM. And the farther I go like this the less power I will have till I can hardly get back home. It also will not go into reverse. I attribute this to poor fuel delivery of some sort bit maybe I am wrong. Also read that some others where having similar problems and when they checked they where actually not getting fuel to a few injectors. So while the engine was running I loosened each hard line at the injector one at a time and every single one when loosened spewed fuel and was did affect running engine. So they are all getting fuel and working. It is as if there is a restriction in the amount of fuel delivered but it builds up during idle so that I get that good performance for the first mile then loss of power. So any suggestions? It has to be clogged in the IP. I have run plenty of purge through and purge returns clean as can be. I'm about ready to take it to the dealer... Out of ideas.
