I ended up with a section of the fuel hose which fit great. I got mine at CarQuest but I'm sure other stores should have it. If you lived closer I'd offer to cut you a chunk off mine - it came in about a 10" section and I think I cut 2 1/4" for mine.

I'll probably pull the T-stat housing back off and JB Weld the divots just to be sure. I don't have coolant in it yet so it's still easy.
