W126 1985 ABS system

Hi,

I have one of the few 1985 300SDs with ABS. I'm having an issue where the system kicks in if I push the brakes, usually low speed like parking, while turning.

I've noticed it turning left but not as much with right. I suspect a bad wheel wheels sensor but I wanted to ask before firing the parts cannon. Thank you.

It's very much likely a bad wheel speed sensor. Probably one of the fronts.

Lift the front end up, and using a multimeter on AC see if you get voltage when spinning a wheel. This isn't a complete test, but it's a good place to start.
