Speedometer cable woes
I have a grey market 300D (1984) with a five speed manual transmission that, as of yesterday, has a broken speedometer cable. Looking at the Russian EPC, there are several different speedometer cables listed. I don't want to order the wrong one, so does anyone know the part number for the cable I need?

My 5 speed setup is not stock but I have the speedo cable from a 1985 300d turbo.I think that is the longest one. It works fine. Check your old one to see if it has the square end that goes into the trans. Others have a slotted end. I'm mostly sure yours is square. If so the 85 300d speedo cable will work.

 5 Speed manual - 1235427707 Recommend that you buy a genuine MB cable. They aren't that pricey really. $60-80.
