I have a 96 E300d for 6 years and 2 months ago ETS and ABS come on when I am driving. Speedometer and cruise control all quit working after few minutes it come back to work except cruise control. It happen to become more and more often, like every ten minutes. After surfing the web, everybody pin to the problem of the brake switch. Order one and install the week after. It seems go away for 2 days and it come back again. It happen more and more often and ETS ABS Speedo dead right after I start the car. I will not go away. 2 weeks ago when I stuck in a traffic I notice the coolant temperature keep rising. That night I open the hood and find out the auxiliary fans stone dead. I take it apart and do some testing. Find the relay 2105450232 with no power coming out to the fan. Order a used one from eBay (may be I shouldn't), same result. Fan working fine when I connect it to 12V battery. Last night I twist my friend arm and borrow his climate control unit (96 e320) with the same result. Now I come to a dead end and see if anyone can help. Need the car very bad.
