Heater fan noise 2008 E320 Bluetec

There is a slight squeaking noise from the heater fan from time to time. I would like to remove the fan and try to lubricate it but I don't know where the fan is located. The car has 103,000 miles.

Where is the fan? How do I remove it? Is there a separate fan for the A/C?
