Help me get my project back on the road.

Dang my post earlier disappeared somehow and now i have to retype.

Ok the wife is starting to get annoyed and wants my Benz back on the road.

1982 300sd, 310K miles, im the 3rd owner my father was the second.

Ive been fixing thing that are tired for the last year, one thing leads to another and time fly's.

The issue as of now is when i test drive it around the block it seems ok. when parking and shifting it to park or neutral it Revs up higher when the load is taken off. Shuts down ok, scared me at first, thought it was running away. My tach doenst work, id quess its 2-3k Rev. I suppose i could drive it this way but its not ideal. I have not tested letting it warm at idle and see if increases on its own, it doesn't appear to but idk for sure.

Ive touched alot of the maintenance items on it over the last year so it hard to nail down what i touched at caused this.

Most recent things ive done are Valve adjustment, a few were tight. drip timed the IP. New copper washers for Delivery valves, didn't touch anything below the two screws. New Rack dampener and upgraded manual up to new style.

Need ideas im starting to get burned out working on this car. and im dreading this being the IP.
