OM617 oil filter housing leak
I've been trying to replace the gasket that goes between the filter housing and the crankcase on my 300SD after it started leaking and followed on the basis of this thread. I've been having an absolutely nightmare trying to get the hex studs out that hold the housing onto the block. One of them came out reasonably easy. The others? Forget about it. Soaked them with lube, hit it with a torch... nothing. They're solid. It's pretty tight space for me getting in there. My hands barely fit in a few spots.
Anyone got any ideas?
