1982 300d AC

so im going to upgrade tilly AC to 134
any tips..i bought the upgrade kit from peach parts...got a new drier
should the clutch engauge right away.
i had to fix the clutch harness..rewire a new connector etc.
i put the car on cold...and fan works etc..jsut isnt blowing col so i thought id up grade to 134
if there is no r12 in it would/should the clutch still enguage.
is there a test i can do to see if the compressor is working properly?
hot weather is coming soon

got the bowden cable adjusted pretty well now
she shifts like a dream now
