Tips on cleaning around injector threads?

Part of the problem was I thought the "crush washer" sat above the threads of the injector and was visible. Looking at diesel911's diagram "retaining ring" is this part I see now. duh.

Mybe not. When I was in Germany in Munich you would see a lot of Turkish and Greek workers that were employed at the BMW Plant. It is likely Mercedes does the same.
Of course there is quite a few Turkish and Greek Parents of Babies born in Germany. The Babies are German Citizens or are considered Legal residents.
