I've Been Under a Rock!!!!!!!!!

I just found out about the W211 E420 CDI and it came out in 2005 [or so I read]!

If you've just heard about it like me just now [I wasn't ever a fan of W211s even working on them *too new for me*] get this:

317HP, 540 FT Pounds of Torque roughly. Pulls 0-60 at 6.1 seconds flat. It's a V8, 4.0 LTR. Some folks brag it could slam a Duramax I've seen on other forums. No videos tho yet. I wouldn't be surprised if it would trash a few small block Chevys too [stock of course].

E420 CDI 414HP/745FT LBS Kleemann

Stock E420 CDI 0-250KMH

2030 I'll be importing. 1 parts car, one driver.

W211 folks weigh in.

The best mating of turbodiesel engine size for the W211 is the E270 CDI available in Europe, and other foreign countries. The E320 CDI here is somewhat overpowered for the car's size and needs, IMO. Fuel efficiency might be improved as well. All things considered, I'm well pleased with my W211 E320 CDI.

2008 E320 Bluetec with 117,000 miles. Very happy with this car. Get 37 mpg on Interstate highway doing 70 mph with no wind and A/C off. Never gets less than 34.5 mpg with head wind and A/C on. Engine turns only 1800 rpm at 70 mph.

How can you compare a stock E420 CDI [last video] to a modded W124 OM606? Apple to oranges lol. The W124 Diesel does ok I guess for a "budgeted" build, but not hard-on worthy.

Wheel spin at 100mph and 100-160mph in 7sec does not give you a hard on? I guess you must not be into cars...

When you've seen Diesels like this like Pete and Repeat, it isn't as exciting as the first time. I'll be starting an OM613 CDI engine build soon once I get the engine on a crate and shipped from Germany

I used Pete and Repeat as an expression.. Not car related, but it was a short comedy from 1931 no more than 18 minutes or so.
IMDB: Pete and Repeat (1931) - IMDb

You might be more familiar with The Adventures of Pete and Pete from the 90s.

I'm familiar with the expression. This thread is worthless without links.
