If I followed the OP correctly, the turn signals were working but the dash indicator lights were not. That's why I didn't mention the flasher cans, etc.

Will do, thank you for the information for repair procedures. I will give an update after I've tried disassembling and cleaning the EFS contacts. That sounds easier than tearing into the instrument panel, at least it is worth trying out first. I won't have access to the car until this weekend but will update soon therafter.
