1987 300d strange noise under battery tray?
started today but at first i thought it was coming from the rear of the car; i thought fp and on the way home the idle felt choppy. later i was able to trace location of noise to under the battery tray. sounds like a short farting sound about every 12-15 seconds. any guesses as to what is under there that would make this sound?
