Has anyone extracted a broken key from a door lock (w123)?

I had an hardware store key snap on me while trying to get my driver door open following a rainstorm then flash freeze back in the spring.

I can still operate the lock by inserting the stub but that isn't a permanent plan.

Any tips on removing the key from inside the lock?

I noticed that our Cdn equivalent of HF has a "watchmaker's" tool set on sale, complete with two sets of specialty tweezers, wondering if that might help.

Tks

Take the door handle off and bang it against a block of wood.
