What acceptable adhesive for rear 123 sunroof seal
My rear sunrroof seal on the 85TD is crumbling and I intend to replace it with the OE seal I have in stock bought for the 85SD that is getting painted.
What is a strong long lasting adhesive? I happen to have some Weldwood contact cement in the tool box but I doubt that will hold up.
I'm trying to make all repairs last 20 years. They will be someone else's problem in 2040. Sorry to realize & admit but likely true.

85SD 240K & stopped counting painted, putting bac together. 84SD 180,000. sold to a neighbor and member here but I forget his handle. The 84 is much improved from when I had it. 85TD beginning to repair to DD status. Lots of stuff to do.
