Has anybody ever tried this

Hello all,

Has anyone of you ever tried to match a W123 turbo to a W124? I have an 87 W123 turbo in like new conditions that I'd like to use as a replacement for a (faulty rebuilt turbo job that set me back $600 USD) turbo on my 93 W124.
Before some well meaning person starts hijacking the thread, I am fully aware that it's not a 1 to 1 swap and would require considerable work.

Just wondered if anyone (successfully) ever tried it or not.

Thanks,

A
