240d fuel tank return lines

What size are these lines? Mine are both leaking

It looks like 5/16 inch. I just replaced some on a 76 300D and that's the size that fit.

Are the lines purchased by the foot??

Yes. Any local parts store should have them. I bought the fuel injection rated ones although I'm not sure it was required on the diesels before the lines reach the injection pump.

They’re different sizes. Most here have replaced them. Best bet is to do a search of either the archives or google. Kind of a drippy job…
