1996 e300d replacing seals and o-rings

Hi Guys again Im replacing seals and o-rings. I have the vavles off but the cooper seal will not come out of the inside of the stem. Should I pry them out or just leave them? Thanks Greg

Greg,

I'm taking it from your post you are doing the delivery valve seals and o-rings?

A word of caution: Do NOT pry anything on the IP. I tried that and it went poorly, to say the least.

A dental pick, or machinist pick will allow you to reach down in the barrel nicely and lift them out. Ditto on replacing them. they need to line up right or it'll cause all kinds of headaches.

Best of luck, and as I'm sure you know, there is no such thing as "too clean" on this job.

- OTM
