1993 300D 2.5 - Vaccuum Help Needed

1 Attachment(s)
Good Morning Everyone,

So I was able to replace my head gasket thanks to all your help. I have everything back together except these 3 areas, which I have no idea how they were set-up prior. (I know, I should have taken pictures :) )

In the picture below, I have 3 areas circled, that I need help in figuring out what goes where and perhaps the name of the parts.

Any assistance would be great, I work better with pictures.

I do not know where these vacuums connect. I have an empty hose on the bottom right and in the middle I have a vacuum hose connected to where I think it goes and on the top I have a hose connection that is missing a hose that goes somewhere.

I have not found any missing lines but perhaps I could have lost it during the rebuild.

I think you should take a set of pictures of each area and instead of uploading them to the pelican server, just upload them to a photo sharing site like flickr or photobucket etc... and link to the pics so we can see better resolution.

If you do the wastegate swap, you will not need to worry about any vacuum lines or connections on the passenger side of the engine....all taken offline.

Is there a link for a how to do a wastegate swap?

Unfortunately, nowhere is the procedure put together as a neat and tidy DIY. But if, after reading these threads, you have questions we would be glad to help.

Just for the reason of having options, How do I resolve my dilemma without doing the modifications? What am I missing from the picture above?

shertex 01-28-2015 12:45 PM

First thing you need is a vacuum diagram for MY93.

BullGator2020 01-28-2015 12:50 PM

Where can I get one?

Hunt around this document....

I don't see anything specifically for MY93. But it may be the same as MY92, which is documented.

Can someone take a picture of this area on there 93 300D and post it? That would greatly appreciated.

Well the entire drawing of the emissions is in the bottom left corner of the picture you took. Is that Chevy orange and blue?

I can really make out the details of the picture though, so if someone could just send a pic of there engine and setup, that would be helpful.

Yes, that is Chevy Orange and Blue. I am a University of Florida Alumni :)
