1996 E300 guage Clusters
I have a 1996 E300 with a completely blown out display. All gauge's and lights work, but no mileage, temp, error display etc. I purchased a cluster from a 1997 and it works perfectly fine, but is incompatible. The part number is only different by 2 digits. I found on EBAY a cluster for a 1996 E300 diesel and it looks identical in every way. My factory cluster's part number is
210 540 8447/07 The cluster for sale on EBAY is 210 540 8347/06 Does anyone know what the difference would be between the 3 and 4 in the model #? I just don't feel like spending another $200 and having a 2nd useless cluster just sitting around.
