300SD Vacuum issues

Hi,
I am hoping you all can help me with this.

1978 300SD

Problem: At first a loss of door lock operation. I think, diaphrams! (Been there before) Buuuuuut upon application of vacumn with hand pump the door lock systems hold just fine, up, down, whatever.

Upon pumping the system where the line from the engine driven pump connects to the whole system, it holds fine also. (After MUCH pumping!)

With the engine runniing the vacumn from the pump feels vey weak. (finger test) the gauge on my hand pump indicates 5 inHg at idle and ~9 inHg off idle. Do these numbers tell you anything?

Now, on occasion, the engine will not shut off. I don't mind turning it off at the injection pump but as this is my wifes car............ Well, you get the picture.

Thanks for your time.
