w116 300sd Torque wrench range
Own a 1979 300sd (w116) with just over 200k miles.
Need a torque wrench that will cover most of my repair work on my diesel and other cars. I have narrowed it down to purchasing a CDI torque wrench. Need a torque wrench with a range that will cover the valve head cover bolts, transmission oil pan bolts, oil drain plugs, spark plugs and other components under the hood Looking to stay with a 3/8 drive. I also own and drive the following vehicles: 1988 300sel (w126), 82,xxx miles 1970 280sel (w108), 54,xxx miles probably more like 154,xxx 2002 Chevy Silverado 5.3L, 274,xxx miles 1991 Honda Civic Hatchback Si, 497,xxx miles Willing to pick up 2 torque wrenches to cover a better range I have been looking at the following torque ranges: CDI 752MFRMH 5-75 ft. lb. (10.2 - 98.3 Newton Meter) 3/8 drive CDI 2502MRMH 30-250 in. lb. (4.0 - 27.7 Newton Meter) 3/8 drive Any advice greatly appreciated |

The HF digital is accurate for its range and unbeatable in its pricing. It's clickers are also known for their accuracy and compare to some of the more notable name brands.
Just my 2 cents. I would not use HF for in lb range.

I think you're going to need 2, one for in lb one of ft lb. The valve cover nuts are something like 7 in lb, as are transmission pan bolts, etc. Things like motor mounts and similar will likely be in the 60 ft lb range, so you'll want to get an in lb and ft lb.
