Whats up with EPC ????

I have been out of the loop for a while,and i am thinking about buying a 97 e300d and wanted to look up some info.Logged in with my old user/password and since mine expired in 2014 i needed to renew and it wanted $75.oo!!!
Did i get to the wrong place or are they really charging or did i just somehow miss the free version. TIA Don

That is for commercial access. I just renewed for free a few weeks ago.

I checked just now and I don't see the option for a free subscription to US data. The only choice is $75 for world access. Must be a 2016 thing.

Just renewed mine last week (in 2016) after it expired. Still free for us in the USA as far as I know. Click "Renew Subscription" here:

Just went onto the site and clicked the renew button. Only option I get is for $75 for worldwide. Either it is no longer free or the site is messed up and maybe it is the commercial access price as andrewjtx said. Sounds like too big a jump from free to $75. Looked at the "Coverage and Prices" tab on their site and it still says free for people in the US. Email them and see what the story is, and please post back with what they say. I sure hope that is it not $75 now. I use it pretty often.

Tried again this eve,got a message that my epc 02xxx user id can not renew! I sent them a message,could not use the contact link (404error) so i used the forgot user name and password link. When/if i hear from them i will post what they have to say. Don

Like many of you, I just checked and EPC wants $75 for my renewal. Yikes.

I suspect that the EPC is undergoing some updates or something. I tried to log in tonight and get the error "Unable to Load Application" after the JAVA logo pops up. Updated my JAVA as it was way old and thought that might be the problem, but still no luck. EPC worked fine yesterday.

Wonder if anyone else is having problems.

I got that error when I tried to renew late last year, used a different link that I found here somewhere and it let me renew.

Last year I used the paid subscription (I'm a Daimler supplier, needed truck info), this year I am using the free one.

I just checked—my account has 229 days to go but when I tried to renew, the only option shown was a $75 world-wide subscription. I hope they get this bug fixed (it is a bug, right? Right? RIGHT???).

Just tried again and now i cant even type in my user id. Havnt heard anything from them except 2 emails that they have received my message!
