The shade does not make any noise. It does vibrate a tiny amount at speed.
The bumper is known over here as a "Roo Bar" a common sight on cars over here in Australia, especially in rural areas. No, I did not make it, bought it used. |

It fits right in with the tractor truck trains that Austalia is known for ,I kind of like the all business look it gives.
I once had a wrecked 300cd coupe and was toying with the idea of taking out the motor trannie ,torching off the frt and building a pullable sleeper much like a teardrop trailer .My plan was to take the steering wheel out ,tinting all windows limo tint, reverse the frt seats to face towards the rear seat area and build out the trunk as an outdoor kitchen .Trailer lights would already functioning w/ factorys in place and seating would becoming sleeping area with a simple drop of the rear seat back and possible added insert.A functioning sunroof ,a functioning a/c system off a small window unit mounted forward but out of view, workable windows ,and radio would be some of the added touches. Not an impossible project being that the only metal work would be adding the hitch and then making the frt look aggreable to the function and not look like a hacked back of a car . A 1500lb trailer for the end weight would give it a range for a possible towing rig with its brother 300cd pulling it from the front. |

Don't remember where I found these, but this is what someone from the "darkside" did. Gives me all kinds of ideas for good looking, lightweight MBZ trailer. Don

I dig the camping look. Folks like to pretend the 123 is a Rolls Royce, but utility is what they were really designed for. I think the holy Mercedes engineers would be happy.
