Engine running hot

I write so many posts on here that I wonder about this car...
I do love it though.

My car is now in Las Vegas and since fixing up the temp gauge I find that the car is running 110 to 118 all the time. AC on or not. This seems quite high to me. New rad cap, coolant change. My aux fan is rigged to run all the time.

How can I cool this down? I take it I should be worried somewhat about this.

try replacing the thermostat first. It might not be opening all of the way.

I would love to know where you take your car. My mechanic may not be the best. Do you know someone good?

Help

I do 99.99999% of the work myself, but when there is something I can't figure out I take it to DECATURE BENZ. The guy there has been working on Mercedes diesels for 24 years and is very honest. He is a specialty shop. If you need help diagnosing the problem send me your phone # via e-mail and I will call you.

A new thermostat did the trick. It was not that my old one was faulty but apparently is set at an entirely different temperature. The car was in Canada and it therefore makes some sense. The new one is set to open up much lower. Now I am at 80.

All good.
