Unhappy OM616 bad squirt from delivery valve

Hey, after installing a new IP on my 616 engine using the drip tube method it seems as the "squirt" from the delivery valve is bad. The other ones shoot fuel 40cm straight up while this shoots like 5cm to the left so my intuition tells me something is wrong.

anyone know what i done wrong?

I'd start by making sure you got the pressure valve and compression spring back in right, after finishing the drip test. Were these parts perfectly clean when you put it back together? Did you install a fresh copper sealing ring?

Do you know if it is an M type or MW type Fuel Injection Pump?

The M type needs the special splined Socket to remove the Delivery Valve Holder.

With the My type Fuel Injection Pumps some have managed to pull up the Element Barrel out of the alinement pin and groove during the change of the Copper Crush Washer.

On both types the center valve in the Delivery Valve assembly only goes on one side if the Delivery Valvel and that is why there is one or 2 lines around the out side of the Delivery Valve Assembly body so you know which end the centarl valve goes in.

The pump shown in the video is a M pump.
