2010 bluetec water separator dump?
Hey guys,
I have been searching around and cant find anything confirming the procedure for draining the water from the separator... Is this something that should be done routinely? How does the procedure go? I see what I believe to be the drain screw.. it looks like a thumb screw right on top of the filter. Suggestions are coveted. ![]()

Are you getting a water in fuel alarm? The filter has a center well where the water collects and shorts the probes of the water sensor.
The black knob is the self bleeder vent. If you got water in the fuel you would need to remove the filter and turn it over to drain out the water. It does not have a bottom drain cock like a big engine filter.
