Extra zero in price

This gent or lady has used an extra zero in the price. I cry shenanigans on always stored/never wintered and the rust behind RF fender.

If it was never driven in winter then why would you need to under coat it every year?

The rust is in the usual spot. The battery has leaked acid down the inner fender.

lol, plenty of corrosion in that engine bay... i have those exact same seat covers, theyre the cheapest you can get... chrome fender covers, those were not an option from the factory, most people use them to cover up rust in the wheel arches. lmao

And of course, the picture posted in June, of it with snowflakes in the air. It will be somebodies steal at 'only' 5,000.

I always ask questions about cars that have the polished trim around the wheel openings. Always a place to trap moisture and cause rust or to cover existing rust.

Man, if that's what a rusted out w123 is worth, a near mint one must be worth 100k, and the extremely low milage original I saw recently had to be half a million or so!

Ya 88k my ass. Never seen a winter but Im looking at one in the first pic. I can see rust spot on the body from the 20ft pic. Why would you undercoat the car every year?

I am operating off the theory that they want to "lower" the car, so the idea is to build up a 4 inch thick layer of undercoating, thereby decreasing ground clearance, and lowering the car. Though I imagine 30+ years of undercoating would also add enough weight to compress the suspension quite a bit. It's a win-win people!

The first photo (winter) has Euro lights, later photos do not. I suspect that first photo is of another car? Color looks different as well, rather yellow in first and more green in later pics.

I'm pretty sure those chrome fender arches are aftermarket, not "rare dealer options".

Assuming the first picture is a different car or from long ago, there is not good picture of the driver's side of the car, which may be quite rusty.

If everything he says is true I still don't see 20k worth of car there. I noticed he didn't mention service records. To have that type of car he'd have to provide records to show every piece of rubber including that in the injection pump had been replaced with MB quality parts by a reputable technician.

I would have to interview his tech guy and pay him for a sworn statement. Some fool will probably come along and give him four grand for the thing though.
