84 300sd steering lock, cant turn key

Hey guys, this is really dumb, I bought a 300sd that is pretty beat up but runs great.

I parked it since last weekend but went to move it today and the wheel was in steering lock mode and I cant turn the key. any hints on how to get this unstuck?

the windows are stuck open but i dont think in one week the rain etc would have rusted the tumbler

Did you try turning the steering wheel gently both ways to unlock it? Jimmy it back and forth several times and it might unlock. My Land Rover is like that.
