OM602 ELR not working at all

Hi folks
Recently after repairing the ovp relay i found that my car has an ELR Relay and thats make sense because my car was auto (now 5spd Manual) and has AC but i dont think that ELR is working anymore
any hope to bring my ELR to life ?
because in cold morning or when using ac in neutral my engine shakes horribly
and from my research the ELR increases engine speed in when ac on and when engine is cold
because of the lack of informations for this ELR i have no ideas of things i need to do or any diagnostic steps
any Ideas ??

my car is a 1991 w201 NA OM602

Do you have the wheel numbered 1-7 on the firewall and is there a big round red thing with a plug on it on the rear end of your injection pump? If so, you have ELR, if not, you don't. What is your idle speed, is the tach working? ELR shouldn't have any affect on the idle quality unless the EDS computer has failed and is causing a feedback loop.

The FSM for your vehicle will have a way to pull codes from the EDS computer to see if it is alive, assuming yours has the EDS computer. Being an N/A it may not have the ELR functionality.

If you have a test light you can see if the wires to the ELR a bad themselves, working your way down stream away from the ELR sensor.

Then test the ELR relay.

I don't think they sell those honestly

i dont have any round wheel on the wall i think it can be found only on w124 om603
also i have an actuature on the rear injection pump but it has a vaccum hose so i think is vaccum operated , my engine idle 600 rpm when cold and drops to 500rpm if i use ac when it still cold and 850 when warm but when ac on it drops to around 700rpm

You didn't answer the most important question: Do you have a big red solenoid on the back of the IP like the one in the picture below? If not, you don't have ELR on your IP.

You may be thinking of the KLIMA relay, which is for the A/C compressor. The ELR functionality is built into the EDS computer. It's a very large module similar in shape and design to the ABS computer. On the 126 it is in the passenger compartment in the kick panel.

You may have a vacuum operated system since you have an N/A engine, you'll have to get a copy of the service manual for your year model to troubleshoot further.
