Post W126_Rubber Boot_drive shaft center support bearing

MARK THE DRIVE SHAFT FOR RE-ASSEMBLY, BEFORE SEPARATING THE SLIP JOINT...

This rubber carrier boot can be replaced without disturbing the bearing.

I use a small pry bar against the boot edge, and tap it off/on with a small ball peen hammer.

NOTE:
Clean and lubricate the slip joint splines with axle grease before assembly..
