Will the "Subject" Mirror Allow light transmission from BEHIND?

Title says it all.

unless someone has replaced your mirror with the incorrect glass, all car mirrors allow light to shine through. This is how they reduce glare from headlights behind you.

I think it can be done. You just need to remove the plastic backing. But the arrow isn't thin, and when you put the plastic back, you aren't going to get the same level of contact as you would. Also, removing the plastic backing off the mirror might also remove some of the painted-on reflective coating on the back of the glass. You'd need at least a few practice mirrors from people on this board or from junkyards to try it on before you tried it on 'good glass' that you want to keep

There is no "painted on" reflective coating on mirror pane like a mirror in your house. I'd try a dremel to cut out the plastic backing large enough to fit the LED assembly without taking the plastic off the mirror.
