Don't forget to grease the screw and threads on the spring compressor.

Honestly removing the intake manifold is the most frustrating thing I've done.

I'd rather remove and install lifters 3x, than do this once.
Welp I asked for a German car so that's that's.

Taking the manifold off isn't for the faint of heart. Seriously a pain.

Personally, I'd have taken the hard lines off to attach the clips first.

I put everything back together but the injector bracket for cylinders 1 2 3 don't line up with intake manifold.

The bracket that goes under the cross over pipe.

You can try loosening everything (primarily the hard lines at injectors and delivery valves) but the clips holding the lines to the bracket, start by tightening down the bracket to the manifold, and then all the rest.

On my '87 wagon with OM603, I now have the a later head with oblique injection, and that bracket also doesn't like to line up, so I've only got it attached to the intake manifold at the front 10mm bolt.

That bracket is a PITA. What I did with mine was leave it very loose and shape the injector lines to fit it, then install the plastic clips. Trying to attach the clips first was IMPOSSIBLE. Once I got the clips installed, I tightened it down. Been fine since.

You can bend the lines a bit without harm. Not sure what you mean by "injector bracket".

Check back on the photo attached earlier in this thread to see placement. Maybe the bracket simply needs a twist or two.
