I have a 300SD, 82, and its door locks work most of the time. Here are the symptoms:
Say I open the door, - The pump runs - The locks stay down - I pull on the locks, they are hard to pull up and slam back down as soon as I let go. - I open and close the drivers side lock with the key a few more times, each time I do, I can see the locks jerk downward. From these symptoms I suspect the pump is working well and the system is holding enough vacuum to pull the locks down with a quickness. I figure there is maybe a switching valve in the driver's door? Unfortunately, I don't understand the system well at this point and am hoping someone can elighten me. I have a vacuum pump, gauge, etc... from all the vacuum issues with my old 123 Frank.
