does anyone still sell the hydraulic chain tensioner for 606?
I cant seem to find one. I refer to the oil driven tensioner that sticks out of the block near the WP/alt on a 606. Ours leaks. Maybe I have the wrong part name>?

Would it be worth trying a new alloy sealing ring first, worth a shot?

??? You mean the one at the front end of the cylinder head that pushes on the long chain rail, right? I see it from our site hosts and other online sources when I search for chain tensioner. Clean the area then check if it's leaking from the cylinder head mating surface or tensioner body halves. There's a crush ring (called gasket) between tensioner and head. I don't think there's one between body halves but similar tensioners come apart for resetting and internal cleaning.

If you unwind the tensioner you will need to reset the ratchet otherwise it will push too hard on the chain.
