I have a 1996 Mercedes 300 D, with 243 Miles. Run great, does show a sign for "check electronics", run great. It would just stop running with the Sign "BATTERY (battery pic) CHARGE". I was told to change battery but I over charged one of old batteries and hooked, that blew up the cluster. Now sometimes cluster works and some time it does not with gauges but the mileage does change. 1. I changed new battery, 2. Twice changed the alternator as was told its not charging which I do not believe, 3. few relays, 4. and I do not know what?. I barely drive the car may be once a moth for may be 50 miles and it could run for ever w/o a problem or it can be driven only 5 miles and suddenly everything stops with the above sign even when cluster was working just fine. Does anyone has any idea. Please email me and if I can fix it, I thank you in advance and may send you a gift.
