Flyweel cover where to buy?
Hi,
I have an OM617 missing the oval plastic cover for the flywheel inspection hole. Does anyone know where this is located on the Pelican site? I nosed around and cannot locate it. 1982 300sd And do I need it? I was thinking dirt can get blown into my front seal on the tranny. Thanks. ![]()

Isn't the lower section of the bell housing open grating? I think the cover keeps the bolt heads clean. It's a long way from that port to the engine rear seal and transmission front seal. FWIW, the place in Bellingham sells it but the site doesn't provide a part number.

Ya know, you’re right. The bell housing is open where you drain the torque converter.
I siliconed a piece of plastic milk carton over the hole. Thanks for the tip on where to buy.

Thats 617 014 04 33. They're like $5. Think you can even get it from pelican parts. Just gotta type in the part number.
