Question W123 Rearview Mirror Install

O.K., I now only have one working hand and have forgotten how I used to easily pop the inside rear view mirror into place .

What should I do ? .

I spent an hour looking for older posts on this and didn't find a single one .

TIA,

Push the left side in and then while holding that in place, wiggle it and push the right side in. Sometimes it takes a few tries. You may need a second working hand.

Here is one thread: Inside rear view mirror@#$%^&*!@#

Apply some lithium grease to the spring loaded balls,
seat one side, pivot the other side into place, use the wooden handle of a hammer to tap it in place.

Thumbs up

Thanx guys ! .

I tried that and will try again .

Having only one hand to work with right now makes things much harder .

I'm glad to hear the loss of use is temporary.

Post Mangled Body

I didn't say that, I said I'm forging ahead anyway because I'm old, stubborn and stupid .

Besides, I damaged the mirror on the wagon I built for SWMBO so it's my responsibility to fix it .
