What are these busted plastic things on throttle linkage?

1981 240D with cruise control - can see one line leading from cruise control module to throttle with a busted up plastic end and then the other appears to be just another piece of the regular linkage. What are these busted plastic pieces?!

I believe those are to protect the cables from wear.

The plastic Bowden cable stays serve two purposes.

When the Bowden cables are not activated the the stays let the STOP lever pivot normally without damaging the Bowden cables.

When the Bowden cables are activated (pulled taut), the stays allow the STOP lever to be pivoted a bit more than normal.
This provides the fuel enrichment required for either cruise control or faster idle.

The stays clip into the STOP lever bracket as shown in your video clip, so they mounted properly.

Part numbers are in the EPC (electronic parts catalog), I use the same ones in my W116s.
I've replaced my missing/broken stays with ones gleaned from the junkyard.
Once I remount the data files from the 2017 WIS/EPC DVD I can look up the part numbers for you.

One is for the fast idle control on the dashboard, the other is for the cruise control .

Both are available from the M-B Classic Center along with your oil vapor hose rubber boots .

Idle control bushing (MB 116 302 01 50)
plastic piece cold idle bowden cable, 240D, some early cruise control cables

Cruise control bowden cable bushing does not seem to be available as a separate part...at least per the EPC in the attached jpeg.
The Classic Center may be able to hunt down this part number for you.

EDIT: Re-reading the title of the link above suggests that the same part can also be used for with your cruise control cable.

Notice that piece is from Mercedes, jot down the # along with the #'s off your two old rubber oil pipe boots , the broken sun visor clips (how did I know, right ?) and begin making up a list of little things, there's going to be quite a few like the BLUE oil & fuel cap gaskets that begin with a 140 # and will stop those maddening oil / fuel seeps dead .

I prefer the $20 (ouch) rocker box gasket you're going to need for the valve adjustment too, I know it's $6 elsewhere but the ones I get from The Classic Center last 4 ~ 5 years' and multiple services making them a better bargain over the long haul .
