is it possiable to change 722.321 with 722.350
hi
just to make sure, my SDL has 387,000 miles, transmission works, with jumps in 2 to 3, i have a 560 sel , 187,000 miles, trany 722.350 can it work??????????? thanks |

Diesels need the diesel transmission. They're programmed to start in 1st gear (gassers of the era started in 2nd) and have different governor settings internally. Will the 560 tranny work on it? If the starter is on the driver's side like the OM603, probably, but it'll drive like crap.
Try servicing the transmission (drain pan and torque converter, change the filter) and replace the K1 accumulator spring while you're in there. The K1 accumulator spring heals a lot of wrongs with 2-3 shifts.

The K1 accumulator spring assembly is under $10. That together with a fluid/filter refresh would be my first repair attempt. If that doesn't help you can tear in deeper. Cheap/easy stuff first.

I do maintain the trany. F+F, steady, Will try the K-1, Their is a play/click, in the transmission, and in the differential, I do understand play in the differential, ( have a spare from s-430, different ratio) but wonder a bout the play/click when I rotate the drive shaft? |
