Wiper Motor replacement?

Hey All,
The driver's side wiper won't move. I can hear the motor working but it won't get it to go. We've had a lot of snow and I wouldn't be surprised if the wipers got turned on while they were buried in snow and overworked them? Anyways, I'm assuming that I need to replace the motor, but wondering if maybe there is something similar that could happen to get it going again. Thanks for any thoughts....
