6bt swap

I know this might be controversial for some of you, but here it goes anyways. I have a 83 240d that I am restoring just sent it out to have the rockers fixed. Car only has 134k on it. I bought this car with the intention of making it something crazy. So here we are I just bought a Cummins 6bt and a 5 speed transmission to go with it. Now the only hard part is going to be the radiator and intercooler, probably getting relocated to the trunk. My only fear is with the gearing in the rear end and if it will be able to handle the 300 hp we will be making. Are there any other gears that fit in that differential or will I need to change the rear end as well.
