The W115 240D/300D Forum - Q & A's

As I do not have a w115 manual, anyone care to tell me "how" to advance the IP timing - and - are there 2 or 3 bolts holding the pump on?

(I know the book for a 123 tells to use a tube and - and, but I thought I might just do the trial and error thing)

Also - can a MB Injection Pump be turned up? (more fuel)

My 240D is lacking fuel when starting up - I know this because if I floor it while starting it fires up a bit better - this tells me it is lacking fuel upon start up.

I know that a diesel can produce very good performance! I have seen Olds diesel engines that have had the pump turned up and the timeing advanced and they'll smoke the tires. So I know a 4 or 5 cylinder can be a whole lot better than MB ships them out.
