Post motor mount swap shakes
Over the weekend, I replaced the motor mounts on my 240D with fresh lemforders. Operation went smoothly. Nothing of note, save the interior driver's side bolt which was unfathomably awkward to remove.
Quieter, smoother, worthy project. (left side, old mount, right side new mount) Thing is, I'm now getting an intermittent vibration that I can only describe as a shimmering (metallic vibration). Happens irregularly at all speeds/rpms. Sound familiar? Any obvious places I should look as I climb back under and start shaking things?

Air cleaner mountings are the usual suspects. The engine is sitting higher with the new mounts. Did you "seat" the mounts before final tightening?
Loosen the mounts, start the engine, cycle from reverse to forward a couple of times and then tighten the bolts. Check the transmission mount also.

Seated the motor mounts, will take a look at the air cleaner mountings...
I replaced the transmission mount along with the flex discs earlier in the year. Possible something jiggled loose down there?
