What mounts in the hole next to this right motor mount?

I have the manifolds off and am putting the whole thing back together. I see a hole next to the right side engine mount that looks like something was mounted in there. But I can't remember removing anything. If something goes in there, I want to put in while the manifolds are off. Can anyone tell me what goes there? 1984 300CD, US. The hole is indicated by the BLUE arrow in this photo.

It may be a mounting point used for something else with the other power-train options that came in the W123....

I don't recall anything being there from working on them...

It looks like something was actually there. Do any of your cars have something there?

Found a picture of another one online someone was working on...that hole looks unused in their photo....

Looks like it could be a mounting point for the engine shock on the M110 inline 6 gas motor based on this engine mount arm for one:

The engine shock absorber on my 78 300SD (and 79 300SD) mounts in that hole.
A different engine support arm (617 223 31 04) is used on these years.

Your car uses the (617 223 40 04) engine support arm, so that mounting hole is not in use for your application.

Thanks guys! That seems to answer the question. That's a relief. I thought I had lost an important part.

Since the chassis is also for the gasoline versions there is also holes for that. Under the hood is 3 holes on front drivers side fender well; lit is for a different type of cruise control that uses vacuum from the earlier versions.
