Need to source an exhaust manifold for 1998 E300

1998 E300 in the shop for a few different things. Turns out there is a crack in the exhaust manifold. Any thoughts as to how/where I might be able to obtain a good condition used one? My indie is looking around....but I told him I would try as well.

Have a muffler shop or stand-alone welder weld the crack together.

You'll probably have to remove the manifold.

I was told many years ago that welding casting iron was possible. What needs to happen is the area around the crack needs to get red hot with a torch then weld the crack with an arc or mig or tig welder. Another trick would be to cut a v in the area where the crack is to get decent penetration.

I have done a lot of welding in the past but I am no expert. I have always been told to file a groove in the crack and fill the crack using brass brazing rod after heating the cast iron. The melting point of brass is approximately 1650 degrees Farenheit.
