bilstein HD v. comforts?

For anyone with experience with them, which shock have you preferred for the W123 (Bilstein HD or comfort)? I have been shopping for the HDs front and rear, but have been told they might ride too harshly.

They will go on an '84 300D with 16x8 wheels and 225/50-16 Michelins. The previous owner put on some bargain shocks which are shot.

Thanx, Jeff

Do a search and you'll find a ton of input on this topic

I have HD's on my 123 and I love them, but then I like a tight feel in the suspension. Some have been concerned that the ride was too harsh initially, but they do soften out pretty quickly.

Either way you'll be OK, it is just a subjective matter of feel.

B300FO,

I put HD's on my w124 2.5 turbo and have been delighted with them. Although this is a different chasis, I have not experenced any harshness at all. I recommend them highly. It is a very easy DIY if you are interested.

Thanx, JCD. There is a lot of info buried in there. Guess I'll go with the HDs and be done with it.

Jeff
