				Gorilla Knob Lubrication

Hi All, has anyone successfully lubricated their gorilla knob pull start on a w115 or older model? the unit on my 220d is so hard to pull out and push in and today actually got stuck in the glow position. which i didn't realize until 5 mins down the road and smelling a strong burning odor from the salt shaker hesitant to use something like wd40 for fear or ruining the electrical parts within. |

Foilow the linkage down into the engine compartment and check each interface. Something must be wrong as there is little or nothing that should need lubrication in the linkage insdide the car.
