87 Benz 300TD Wagon - Headlight Washers
Hello,
Recently acquired wagon... Noticed a puddle at the front bumper with washer fluid running from the headlight wiper. After investigation, the washer fluid is continuously flowing from the tip until the fluid tank is less than half full. I don't see anything at the headlight wiper that would stop the flow besides the pump. The pump is not running and the flow continues to dripple. Any advise on troubleshooting is appreciated. |

There is a check valve between the pump and the nozzles. If it’s gone bad you may be able to find a generic one off the shelf.
Note that the 124 sedans and the 126s share the same parts for the headlight washer system so you have more opportunities to find the parts in the JY. But they will be 30 years old too and probably in just as bad of shape.
