80 w123 wagon NA to turbo engine swap what do I need to trasfer

As the title says i have an 80 wagon with the NA om617. I have a donor 82ish 300d with the turbo engine. What do I need to swap to make the turbo engine work in the wagon

I know trans will work, radiator is a bit different I’m assuming long block and injector pump what else will need swapping.

The wagon head is special because of the sls pump so
I Intend on Swapping that head onto the turbo block, possibly with the sodium valves from the turbo head.

Any advice would be extremely helpful

Your wagon came with a 722.1 transmission while the 82 had the 722.3

Your wagon came with a 3.46 axle while the 82 had 3.07

Turbo injectors have a higher pop pressure.

Turbo engine has a different chain tensioner and the tensioner goes into the cylinder head. Maybe someone on here has put a n/a head on a turbo motor if that's even possible. I think that the pre-chambers might be different and you would have to check if the turbo piston is not going to hit the pre-chamber. Is the timing chain running at the same offset? Turbo motor has chain driven oil pump while n/a has a shaft driven pump

It would be a good idea to check the FSM since they put head swapping information in there.

Swapping the whole motor is relatively straight forward, though I have never done it.

Trying to mix and match using some parts from a non turbo motor to turbo is perilous as there are a lot of differences. The front of the crank is different along with the pulleys. The non turbo motor radiator will work but will not have the cooling capacity as the turbo version, so you will run hot with a big load or tall hill. It's best to have the donor car so you can swap over all of it.

You will not be able to swap the head. The 80 has a different prechamber design not compatible with the turbo pistons.
